This week we learnt about bracketing. Exposure bracketing involves taking two or more photographs with one slightly under-exposed and one slightly over- exposed. These images are then carefully combined in Photoshop using different layers and erasing the under- exposed or over-exposed parts of one or more images to create a final shot where everything in the image is properly exposed.
Our task was to go out and take multiple images, each with variations in detail in the highlights, mids and shadows. We then used Photoshop to layer the images and remove parts of each layer to reveal areas in more detail.
